Meet Pepper – Your Loyal Little Shadow
Pepper is a sweet, soulful 9-year-old girl who’s looking for a soft place to land after a tough change in her life. She was lovingly surrendered after her lifelong human companion had to move into a nursing home. Having spent her life as a loyal lapdog, Pepper is now adjusting to life in foster care and is hoping to find a new person to call her own.

Pepper has always been a daddy’s girl and tends to bond more quickly with men, but she will warm up to women with a little patience and kindness. Once she trusts you, she’s a total velcro dog—she’ll follow you from room to room and happily spend hours snuggled on your lap.

Because of her recent changes, Pepper has been understandably confused and anxious, and she is a flight risk right now. She’ll need a secure, watchful home where doors and gates are carefully managed.

She’s currently in foster care with both dogs and cats and gets along fine with them, but Pepper clearly prefers human companionship. She’s a little picky when it comes to food, but with the right encouragement (and maybe a few tasty toppers), she’ll eat just fine.
