Meet Barney – The Sweetest Roadside Rescue ❤️

Barney’s story starts in the middle of a road, where this brave little guy was found all alone. Thankfully, a kind-hearted good Samaritan stopped to help — and Barney didn’t hesitate. He hopped right into their car like he knew it was his ticket to a better life.

From day one, it was clear: Barney is a sweetheart through and through. Despite needing medical attention for a painful cherry eye, he remained gentle and loving with everyone he met. While an owner eventually came forward, they sadly weren’t willing to get him the care he needed. But we were — and now Barney is recovering beautifully in foster care.

Barney is currently living with cats, and while he finds them very interesting, we think a cat-free home would be best for everyone involved! He does great with other dogs and could thrive in a home with a canine companion who matches his energy and play style.

He’s working on his leash manners and making great progress — he’s eager to please and just needs someone patient and consistent to help him continue to learn.

Barney is microchipped, neutered and current on his vaccines. His adoption fee is $415.
