Bix is a 7 year old Aruban Cunucu mix rescued at 8 weeks old and has been with his current family ever since then. He is 52 lbs and is a silly, derpy boy who loves snuggles and needs his “love tank” filled with hugs every day. He loves his toys and treats and enjoys relaxing and napping. Although his current family has a large fenced in yard, Bix prefers the “indoor cat” life— although he does love to lounge outside and go for walks. Bix currently lives with another dog and has since he was a baby.

Bix is fully potty and crate trained. He enjoys time in his crate as it calms him. He has had anxiety since he was a baby and is fearful around new people, but especially men. He takes some time warming up to new people, but once he does, he’ll love you forever. He is best suited in a house with experienced dog owners who will help him open up and give him the time and affection that he needs.

Bix’s current family loves him very much however they have a two year-old and a five month old and Bix is not doing well in that environment. Bix cannot go to a home with young children. He would thrive in a calm adult only environment and most likely as the only pet but could be tested with another dog if necessary. Bix’s owners would love to have the opportunity to keep in touch, as this choice is incredibly difficult for them, but is what is best for Bix. He will remain with his family until a new family is found.

Bix has no known health concerns other than occasional seasonal allergies and anxiety. He doesn’t take any medications.
