Meet Gunner Lonestar — or “Gunnie” if you're friends (and you will be)!

This long-legged, handsome heartthrob has been living his best life in East Texas with his foster family, which includes 2 gentle Great Danes, 3 cats, a foster sister his size, and 3 tiny but mighty Chihuahua mixes. Gunnie is a social butterfly who gets along famously with dogs, cats, and humans alike!

Smart as a whip and eager to please, Gunner already knows “sit” and “wait” using both voice and hand signals. He’s working hard on his potty training and is so close to mastering it 100%. He’s learned to go to the door when nature calls, though sometimes excitement gets the best of him. Still, he understands when he’s made a mistake and responds well to gentle correction.

While the kennel isn’t his favorite hangout, once settled, he’ll snooze for hours. But don’t let his crate time fool you — Gunner is a snuggle bunny at heart. He loves to be cradled like a baby on his back, naps like a pro with his foster mom, and insists on curling up as close as possible each night.

When he's not snuggling, Gunnie is out there living his best adventure dog life. He loves to wrestle with his foster siblings, run fast and free, hunt for the perfect stick, and defend the home from rogue squeakers (RIP, plush toys). He’ll also happily entertain himself with a good chew bone.

Gunner is the perfect mix of active and affectionate, and he rides beautifully in the car — ready to be your co-pilot for all of life’s adventures. He's an all-around very good boy who’s more than ready for his forever home. Could that be with you?

Gunner is microchipped, neutered, up to date on vaccines and his adoption fee is $495.
