Lady is a sweet, playful, and affectionate 1-year-old Great Pyrenees mix who weighs about 70 pounds. She came to our rescue through no fault of her own—her family had to move and sadly couldn’t take her with them. Now, she’s looking for a loving family who will cherish her big heart and playful spirit.

This happy girl has all the wonderful traits of a great family dog. She adores children and even responds to the “gentle” command, making her an especially thoughtful companion for little ones. If a child is upset, Lady will try to comfort them—her nurturing side is just as strong as her playful one. She’s always excited to meet new people, sometimes letting out a little bark of joy to say hello.

Lady gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has even lived peacefully with cats. She’s house-trained, crate-trained, spayed, and up-to-date on vaccines. While she may bark when left alone, she settles well in her crate until her family returns. She does have a natural instinct to chase wildlife outside, but not cats—her furry housemates are safe with her!

This energetic girl loves to play fetch, run, hike, and go on walks. She already knows several commands, including sit, stay, paw, down, go lie down, leave it, gentle, and up—what a smart pup! On walks, she’ll need a confident handler, as her curiosity sometimes kicks in when she spots a rabbit or squirrel. Lady also has great protective instincts, making her a devoted companion as well as a fun one.

Lady would be happiest in a home with a fenced-in backyard where she can run, play, and enjoy the outdoors safely.  Though she’s brave and loving, loud noises like motorcycles or big trucks can spook her, so she’ll do best with a family who can reassure her when the world feels a little too noisy.

Most of all, Lady loves being with her people. She thrives on affection, enjoys belly rubs and pets, and will make a loyal, joyful addition to the right home.  If you’re looking for a smart, affectionate, playful, and loyal best friend, Lady could be the perfect match for you!
