Lucy is the kind of dog who makes everyone feel like they’re her best friend — because to her, they are. Originally rescued from the South, Lucy found her happily-ever-after with a loving owner who adored her. Tragically, that chapter ended too soon when her owner passed away. Now, this sweet girl is once again searching for a forever home — one filled with love, companionship, and people to call her own. Lucy is incredibly friendly and greets everyone with a wagging tail and a warm heart. She loves kids, does well with most dogs, and is fully housebroken. She’s calm, well-behaved, and happiest when she’s near her people — whether that’s hanging out at home or enjoying a ride on the boat (yes, she’s a boat dog!). Spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines, Lucy is ready to start her next chapter. After all she’s been through, she deserves a family who will cherish her for the rest of her days.
