Boxer / Pointer / Mixed (short coat) : : Male : : Young
Jacob is a two-year-old happy go lucky boxer mix. He is friendly to
dogs and people. He currently lives in a foster home with three
children between the ages of 7 and 9, another dog and a guinea pig.
Jacob came to us from Georgia with a mass at the base of his tail that
turned out to be cancer. He has had the tumor removed and is on the
mend. The vet thinks he'll be just fine and he'll be getting his
stitches out by 1/29. This bump in the road has not dampened his
spirits one bit. He loves to run and play and is very food motivated,
which has made him very easy to train. Jacob is crate trained and
housebroken and sleeps through the night. He doesn't bark when the
doorbell rings, or when company comes, and doesn't jump up for
affection. He isn't a counter surfer and stays off the furniture.
Jacob always comes when he's called and takes treats gently from
little hands. As you can see from the pictures he loves to have his
belly rubbed and will lay still and soak up your attention for quite a
long time! He will make an excellent companion or family pet for some
lucky adopter!
